GETAWAY HOUSE

EXTERIOR
DESIGN
The architect designed a two-story house with a sleek design nestled in a lush, forested area. The structure features expansive glass windows, providing a seamless connection between the interior and the natural surroundings. The exterior is characterized by a combination of dark metal and stone elements, with an open-air balcony and a covered patio area. The manicured lawn and a small, elegant pool enhance the property's contemporary and tranquil aesthetic, making it a perfect retreat within the serene woodland setting.
Valle de Bravo is a picturesque town located in the State of Mexico, about 156 kilometers west of Mexico City. Nestled beside the serene Avándaro Lake and surrounded by lush pine forests, this charming destination is renowned for its colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and vibrant cultural scene. Popular activities include sailing, paragliding, and hiking, making it a favorite retreat for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The town's historic center, with its beautiful parish church of Saint Francis of Assisi and lively artisan markets, adds to its appeal as a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural richness.
Wooden slats on the ceiling of the upper balcony introduce a warm, natural element, while the polished concrete surfaces ground the house in a minimalist, industrial chic. This careful selection of materials ensures both durability and a visually appealing, modern architectural style.
